Janki Bai is scared of being exposed. Gangadhar and Laxmi Bai leave to meet the chief doctor. To her relief, Janki Bai discovers his dead body. Nelson wipes the chief doctor's blood from the knife and vows to kill Laxmi Bai's unborn child. Gangadhar orders an investigation. Ganga breaks down and, unable to bear people's jibes, decides to end her life. Laxmi Bai saves her and apologises to her. The palace celebrates the good news.
