Part 1 of a three-part miniseries centering on a sensational trial at a Colorado ski resort during the 1960s. Down-and-out Lee Bishop arrives in Aspen in pursuit of wealthy Gloria Osborne. A teenage girl is murdered and Bishop is blamed. His hopes now rest with lawyer Tom Keating who has problems of his own.
