Brothers Kain and Rattler Sutherland live on a Northern Territory station. The unstable Kain clashes with the more laid-back Rattler over several issues - money, treatment of local Blacks, cattle, but most of all, their Aboriginal housemaid, Kaita, whom Kain is convinced Rattler has impregnated.
